Philodila hoenei Mell, 1937, Dt. ent. Z., Berl. 1937: 6. Type locality: China, south Shensi [Shaanxi], Taipeishan [Taibai Shan], <<33°8'N 108°E>>, 1700m.

China: Shaanxi (Taibai Shan, Heihe National Forest Park, Houzhenzi, 1400-1500m (33°53'N 107°49'E); Taibai Shan, 30km NE Wulong; Taibai Shan, Foping Nature Reserve, 1600m (33°45'N 107°48'E); Qinling Mountains, Taibai Shan, 1500m (33°50'N 107°41'E); Daba Shan, 15km south of Shou-Man, 1800m (32°08'N 108°37'E)); Hubei; Sichuan (Emei Shan; Wolong National Nature Reserve, 1500-1800m; Ya'an); Chongqing.
